STATEMENT OF FAITH

 Kehillat Yeshua Messianic Congregation

CONSTITUTION AND BYLAWS Constitution and Bylaws of Kehillat Yeshua Messianic Congregation.

Preamble: This Constitution and Bylaws are made to:
I.1. Preserve and secure the principles of our faith.
2. Preserve the liberties of each individual member of the congregation.
3. Provide for orderly conduct of internal affairs, in dealing with others, and of governing congregation members.

Our Purpose is to glorify the God of Israel and to see His Messiah, Yeshua, and His Torah (Instruction) lifted up so that both Jew and Gentile who wish to take hold of Adonai's covenants may be equipped to do so.
II. Mission Our Mission is to build our congregation together in love and shalom (peace) so that we as a community can move forward to accomplish the Purpose which Adonai has set before us. Our Mission is also to raise up Godly men to take their rightful leadership positions in their homes, in their congregation, and in their community.

IV. Statement of Faith
A. We believe in the beginning was the Word (Memra/Logos) and the Word was with God and the Word was God.  (Yochanan [John] 1:1)

B. We believe that this Word was manifested in the form of Messiah. (Yochanan 1:14)

C.  We believe that Yeshua is the promised and prophesied Messiah of Israel who came to redeem mankind, and is the Son in whom the Father is well pleased.

D. We believe Yeshua will rule as King over Israel and over the nations in the future coming of the Kingdom of God.

E. We believe that it is this Good News (the Gospel of God – Romans 1:1) that we are to proclaim.

F. We believe in the inerrancy of Scripture as found in Bereshit (Genesis) through Revelation, and that it alone holds authority in our lives, with the guidance of the Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit).

G. We believe that the Torah of Adonai has not been abolished, and the observance of it is still the valid expression of a Godly faith...not as a means of salvation...but as the God-given path of sanctification.

H. We believe that the Torah given to Moshe (Moses) on Mt. Sinai is the same Torah that Messiah Yeshua has taught His followers to observe.  (Matthew 5:16-19)

I. When their may be difference in doctrine and practice, we will strive to let love and unity overcome.

J. We understand our faith walk as being Messiah centered and Torah pursuant.

K. We do not believe that one must keep the Torah (or to be observant of it) to be saved.

L. We do not believe that Torah observance is obligatory; rather we understand that it must be a choice based on individual conviction.M. We believe that the Torah was meant for Israel and for all those of the nations (Gentiles) who join its commonwealth (Ephesians 2) and who choose to take hold of its covenants. (Zechariah 8:23)

N. We affirm that any of those from the nations joining themselves to the commonwealth of Israel shall be welcomed with open arms and will be treated as an equal citizen with equal rights and responsibilities.  (Numbers 15:15-16).

O. In accordance with the beliefs of the MJAI, our congregation does not accept the following:
1. Any form of replacement theology or supersessionism.
2. Dispensational theology.
3. Two House / Ephraimite theology.
4. Sacred name doctrine.
5. Aviv barley reckoning of the Mo'edim.
6. Lunar Sabbath doctrine.

P. We believe that the Holy Spirit is still at work today, as on the day of Shavuot (Pentecost),
And that what scripture teaches about the Holy Spirit as written in 1 Corinthians 12 still applies today.

Q. We believe that Yeshua was is and always will be God the Son, That He came in the form of man to redeem mankind from the power of sin. Romans
